FFA
Pequea Valley FFA is our school’s organization for students interested in premier leadership, personal growth, and career success in agriculture! What used to be an organization just for farmers, FFA now takes a broad focus on agriculture and brings together learners who are interested in any area of food, fiber, or natural resources.
FFA events take place throughout the year at the chapter, county, state, and national level. Members are encouraged to build their leadership skills by attending training workshops like ACES, SLLC, and Lancaster County leadership trainings. Want to show off your skills in an agricultural competition? Career Development Events (CDEs) allow members to compete in an area of agriculture that interests them. These CDEs span all areas of agriculture and have events for animal science, plant science, food science, agricultural mechanics, natural resources, and public speaking. PV FFA also engages in community service events that give back to our school and local communities. The coolest part is that all events are learner-led. The PV FFA officer teams works hard to make sure our members have opportunities to get involved and have fun in the chapter.
So how can you get involved in PV FFA? FFA is open to any learner in grades 9-12 that is taking an agriculture class throughout the year. After you sign up for an agriculture class, you are ready to get involved! Every student enrolled in an agricultural education becomes an FFA member, with no dues and no application! Attend our monthly chapter meetings to stay updated on our various events throughout the year.
