STEM School of the Year

Pequea Valley's STEM program has received many accolades over the years, including multiple awards for STEM School of the Year.

STEM is an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines content from science, technology, engineering and mathematics into one experience for our learners.  Our 9th grade STEM program was designed to support the Algebra 1 curriculum, and give learners a hands-on approach to utilitzing and understanding mathematics.

As learners progress through our math courses in high school, they have the opportunity to continue taking advanced STEM courses as well.   Much of what we teach in our math classrooms is brought to life in our STEM courses.   Our STEM curriculum supports learners who are looking to go into the engineering/math world at a 4-year college or pursue a career at a  2-year trade school.   Pequea Valley STEM courses also lead to many job shadowing and internship programs that often offer fulltime employment post high school.

At Pequea Valley it is truly a STEM-for-all approach, which empowers our learners to achieve their first choice in life.
